The power of precious stones - the diamond

Since time untold, people all over the earth have known about the profound powers of nature, about the healing effect of herbs and plants, but also about that of precious stones which act directly on human beings and animals alike. Borne in a field of energy, especially rare precious stones develop a powerful supporting effect which may also be used consciously.

As a source and symbol of power, these "wonder-full" precious stones were reserved to worldly rulers and wise men, shamans and healers.

The diamond is probably the most rare, most famous and most coveted of these precious stones which, until the 18th century, were found only in India.

Mineralogy: The diamond is by far the hardest natural mineral on earth and may be cut only with another diamond. The cubically crystallising diamond is created in a depth of over 200 km at the enormous pressure of 40,000 bar and more than 2000°C. Owing to its outstanding purity, a diamond can be completely clear and displays a very high refraction of light, its "fire". It is also found in natural colours like red, blue, green, yellow and brown.

Mythology: Derived from the Greek word "adamas" = "invincible", a diamond could be worked only uncut and stood for strength, power, courage as well as a guardian against the influence of demons.

On a spiritual level, a diamond supports the characteristic "invincible", i.e. being true to oneself. It represents objectivity and helps doing without shabby compromises, superfluous rules and laws.

At the level of the soul, a diamond helps solve crises more easily and overcome fear and depressions. A diamond makes it possible to elucidate the cause of problems and diseases in an unbiased way.

Mentally, the diamond assists logical thinking, makes the wearer receptive to learning and permits a view of things in a wider context. And it supports the ability to make clear decisions and to solve problems.

Physically, the diamond assists purification processes in the body and is said to have a special healing effect on organs which are directly related to mental activity. It may be used if something needs to be recognised or a change in life is long overdue.
